Another Roller Coaster Accident at a Disney Theme Park Causes Many Injuries

On July 29, 2005 at Disney's California Adventure there was an accident involving two coaster trains. The local NBC station has a report on this most recent roller coaster accident. Early reports indicate there were 48 people total on 2 trains involved in the roller coaster accident.

You can view a Channel 9 live report of the roller coaster accident courtesy of Mouse Info. They have a second roller coaster accident video available as well. They also have a discussion about the roller coast accident that discusses an apparent state of refurbishment needed for that ride.

Bookmark this site. We will have the official accident report with photos in a few months as soon as it becomes available. In the mean time the state officials will be performing an extensive investigation, of which we will cover in its entirety here upon completion. We wish all those involved a safe and speedy recovery.

Welcome to RideInsider.com, a resource for information on roller coaster and theme park ride accidents. The purpose of this site is to bring you otherwise hard-to-find reports and photos of theme park ride and roller coaster accidents. Most people ask "Why are you interested in roller coaster accidents?" I find them fascinating; from the series of improbable events combining to result in trajedy, to the investigations that follow. The corporations involved in the accidents do not want you to see what we are going to show you.

We think that anyone who is considering to go on any type of ride at a theme park should read these reports. You will be surprised how easy it is for something to go wrong. Warning signs ignored. Irresponsible maintenance. Inadequate training. Rider error. All it takes is one of these things to turn your happy day at the park into a deadly nightmare. The purpose of this site is not to marvel at sensational photos of twisted wreckage. We aim to educate the public about what can go wrong.
